PTL's Mission

The goals of the Parent Teacher League (PTL) are the following:

  • To promote the welfare of children in the home, church, and community.
  • To raise the standard of home life.
  • To bring into close relation the home, school, and church so that parents and teachers may cooperate effectively in the Christian training of the child.
  • To cooperate with the Board of Education in its various undertakings.

To achieve these goals, the PTL embraces the following specific objectives:
  • To establish and maintain open communication between parents, school administration, and the teachers.
  • To provide services and activities beyond the academic requirements that will give the school vitality and a sense of community.
  • To provide some of the funds necessary to benefit the needs of the school as identified by the staff and administration.
Parents of all children enrolled in Peace Lutheran School are considered members of the PTL and are expected to attend PTL meetings and activities. Parents by their attendance and participation demonstrate that they are interested in their child(ren)’s education.
