Singing on Sunday
Fourth grade will sing at the 9:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday, January 29 at church. Please have your child come to the church basement choir room by 9:10 a.m. to warm up.
Heart Presentation
We look forward to Monday’s heart presentation given by Julie Weiss, a cardiac surgical nurse. She will bring a pig heart/ lung specimen for fourth graders to examine. This goes along with our units of study in science and in reading.
College Valentines
Fourth and fifth grade students are making valentine cards for members of St. Lorenz who are students in college. The cards will be sent in a church mailing along with a package of treats (and certainly will be gratefully received!). It is another opportunity for our students to share the love of Jesus with others.
Valentine Box
Students are asked to bring a shoebox (or a box of similar size) to school by Friday. The box should be wrapped with tissue paper, wrapping paper, or foil. The lids needs to have a slit cut in the top. If students have extra materials that they would like to use in decorating their box (such as
ribbon, stickers ot stamps), they may bring these also by Friday.
Report Cards
Reminder report cards came home today. Please sign and return the black and white copy.
Reading Evaluation
Students should read you a chapter from their AR book. Reminder that your child needs 12 points for the third quarter.
