Description of Activities:
Early Childhood Reception Desk - weekly
8:00 - 11:30 am or 11:30 - 3:00 pm
No Office experience necessary. Duties include unlocking the doors as students/parents arrive, various cutting projects for preschool projects etc.
Library Helper - weekly
9:00 -12:00 or 12:00 - 3:00pm
No library experience necessary. Duties include checking books out to students, returning books to bookshelves, assisting students with accelerated reader tests. All tasks are easily learned and work is done along with the Librarian.
Student Services Helper - Weekly
Listening to children in the Student Services Program read (1 hour/week).
Test Reader - occasionally
Read tests to small groups of students.
Listening to students read - occasionally
Listening to individual or groups of students read for teachers.
Book Fair Helper
We have 2 book fairs a year. Duties include adding student/parent purchases and collecting the money.
Field Day Helper
Each year, in May, we have a field/fun day for the students. This is a day filled with fun outdoor activities and help is needed to supervise each of the different activities.
Occasional Special School Activities
Assist with activities that arise during the course of the school year.
Baking for Staff Birthdays
Bake a treat for about 40 people for staff birthdays. We use several volunteers so you would be asked to bring a treat 1-2 times per school year.
Career Day
Each school year we host a Career Day for the students in the winter. We welcome anyone interested in sharing his/her occupation with our students.
Music Department Data Entry
Entering and logging in new band music into computer (only basic computer skills needed).

Music Department Instruction
This is an opportunity for anyone who knows how to play an instrument and would be interested in assisting student who are learning that instrument. Students are taught as a group by Dave Sievert but individual or small group instruction during class time is very helpful.
